外媒的“退役”有几种写法？

费德勒宣布退役的消息刷屏网络，除了常见的retire，外媒还用上了这些花样表达。

路透社使用了call time on的搭配：费德勒将于下周的拉沃尔杯后结束辉煌的职业生涯

根据柯林斯辞典的解释，call time on意为 “终止某事（If you call time on something, you end it.）”，并且标注主要为英国使用、新闻界使用。

其他外媒中，“call”的出镜也格外频繁，福布斯新闻在报道橄榄球传奇汤姆·布拉迪对费德勒退役表态时用了“ call it quits”；

《每日邮报》和《爱尔兰时报》则用了“ call it a day”。
